I am from Cape Town in South Africa.
I have been practicing as a physiotherapist for 25 years and more recently using yoga as an adjunct for my patients. People say that I have a calm, nurturing and uplifting energy.
I started my yoga journey after suffering chronic low back/nerve pain for many years, which stopped me from doing what I loved and even from working effectively. Yoga changed my life both on a physical, emotional and spiritual level.
I did my 200 hour yoga teacher training in Nepal in 2016.
I then got involved with the NPO Ahim’SA in 2017, when it started in Hout Bay.
It is a privilege and humbling to work with the poor communities, as it puts our life in South Africa into perspective. I am excited to help bring a message of peace, non-violence and hope to a community that suffers with the stress of daily hardship and violence in their community.
