It is important that the first generation of certified yoga teachers are realised in Imizamo Yethu and grow together with Ahim’SA. The yoga students of today will become the teachers of tomorrow. It takes 9 months to train and develop a knowledgeable teacher and experience will come with time, but it is our strong belief that teachers should come from the community. Community based teachers will have a far greater understanding of languages, traditions, cultures, behaviours and obstacles. They will be very effective within their own community.

Our trainings are internationally recognised and include 200 hours of basic yoga teacher training as well as anatomy and biomechanics continued education. We also offer trainings related to the psychology of yoga.
