Future Implementation of Aikido Hands Technical Course for a Healthy Approach to Self-Defence

Aikido is a synthesis of martial studies, philosophy and spiritual beliefs.

Aikido is known as a modern Japanese martial art, a synthesis of martial studies, philosophy and spiritual beliefs. Aikido is often translated as “the way of unifying (with) life energy” or as “the way of harmonious spirit” which is the same translation of yoga.

The original goal of Aikido was to create an art that practitioners could use to defend themselves while also protecting their attacker from harm or injury.

Today Aikido and yoga are found all over the world in a number of styles, with a broad range of interpretations and emphasis. However, they all share similar techniques, with most having concern for the well-being of the attacker, and the ability to defend oneself while using the energy from the attacker.

Ahim’SA believes there are alternatives to hurting, harming and injuring others while defending oneself and these alternatives can be discovered in the techniques of Aikido Hands.
